Class Notes - Search
The Class Notes feature provides members with a place to share information (in several different categories) about what is going on in their lives.  Use the criteria below to search for the members whose notes you would like to read.

To Search for Class Notes:
1. Specify a set of search criteria.  To select a criterion for use in your search, click the the checkbox to the left of its filter name.  You must select at least one Note Category to conduct a search. 
2. Make any selections or provide any text required by the selected criteria.
3. Click Search Class Notes.
NOTE: Clicking the Search Class Notes button without defining criteria will generate a list of all existing and approved Class Notes.

To Submit a Class Note:
To add a class note, click Add Class Note.
NOTE:  If you have recently added a Class Note, it is possible that you will not see it in the results immediately.  Each Community has its own rules and time frames regarding Administrator approval of member-submitted content.

Jason “Jay” Terry (BBA ’14) has now been promoted to the position of Enterprise Business Manager with Mizuho OSI. This position entails managing the company’s business within group purchasing organizations and integrated delivery networks. Jason graduated from ETSU in 2014 with his Bachelor of Business Administration.

Josh McKinney (BS ’08) has been named the new Community Impact Coordinator for the United Way of Elizabethton/Carter County. Josh graduated from ETSU in 2008 with his Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. He comes from a background of community work. He was an Americorps volunteer, and he served the town of Unicoi as its community relations coordinator. He also spent several years at Eastern Eight Community Development Corporation.

Marsha Beasley (BS ’78) recently accepted a coaching position at University of Mississippi. Beasley will be the head women’s rifle coach. She has helped coach young women to eight NCAA championships. Beasley received her Bachelor’s degree at ETSU and went on to gain her masters at West Virginia. While in school, she competed in smallbore and air rifle, as well as a being a member of the U.S. National Team.

Malendie Gaines (DRPH ’15), who received her Doctor of Public Health degree in Epidemiology in 2015 from the ETSU College of Public Health, has accepted Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) postdoctoral fellowship with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She is working in the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STDs, and TB Prevention as a Health Equity Fellow. Through this fellowship, she can assist other researchers in exploring the social determinants of health of HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, sexual transmitted diseases, and Tuberculosis.

Peter Cook (BFA ’86 MA ’11) has been named Chair of the American Sign Language Department at Columbia College in Chicago. Mr. Cook graduated from ETSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts as well as a Master’s Degree in Education. He has been an associate professor at Columbia College in Chicago since 2006 and has served as the interim chair since spring 2014. His work has been featured at the National Storytelling Festival and the National Book Festival at the White House. He has appeared in Live from Off Center’s “Words on Mouth” and “United States of Poetry,” produced by Emmy-winner Bob Holman.

Judge Kenneth N. Bailey Jr. (BS ’92) was selected into the Order of Constantine, the highest honor for members of Sigma Chi International Fraternity who have committed decades of exemplary volunteer service to the organization. Judge Bailey earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from ETSU and his serving as Greeneville, TN’s General Session’s Court Judge.

Dr. Anita Everett (MD ’85) is now President Elect of the American Psychiatric Association. She has held numerous leadership roles at APA, including trustee-at-large on the APA Board of Trustees; chair of the APA Task Force on Healthcare Reform 2015; chair of the Scientific Program Committee of the Institute on Psychiatric Services, and many more. She graduated from ETSU as a Medical Doctor.

Alice Pope, (MBA ’07) Wellmont Health System’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, will become the new chief financial officer for HonorHealth in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mrs. Pope earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from ETSU.

Jessica Shelton is an executive aide in the Scholarship Office. She was previously a receptionist in the Student Organization Resource Center at ETSU, where she earned her B.A. degree in psychology and Japanese.

Paula Moody (MS ’92) has recently become a new employee of ETSU. Paula is now a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry after serving as an adjunct faculty member in the department. She holds her M.S. degree from ETSU.
