Class of 1959 Posted by an administrator

Dr. Michael Bolus (E00287253) graduated from ETSU in 1959 earning a Bachelor’s degree in marketing. While at ETSU, he was a member of Lambda Chi. Dr. Bolus is the senior pastor at Hopewell Presbyterian in Rock Hill SC.

“I first entered ETSU back in 1954 and am proud of the education given to me in my years there. I was in the graduating class of 1959 and my wife followed me later and graduated in 1972. I just wish I had the time and money to support my old school, but I have never forgotten when the college had only less than 2000 students. It was a close student body and it seemed we all knew each other as students and faculty. This little note is also to let you know that one of your graduates went on to two more degrees, masters and doctorate. Finally, after over 50 years of ministry I have found the time to write and have published a new book on counseling called Our Wonderful Counselor. Being a Christian, it is written for laypeople who wish to develop their listening skills and counseling skills in everyday life. If anyone there is interested, you can find it now on Amazon and Barnes and Noble for Ebook edition. I would like also to contribute a copy of Our Wonderful Counselor to the university library, if that is possible.”

A very thankful graduate of ETSU, class of 1959

Dr. Michael D. "Mickey" Bolus
