ETSU PRIDE Week is an annual awareness campaign celebrating the long, proud history of East Tennessee State University and marking the beginning of a new academic year. Activities take place throughout the month of August and span Tri-Cities region.

21 - ETSU PRIDE Move-In Day and New Students Welcome Stations
7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on the East and West end of campus. Campus related personnel and student organizations help move in Preview students.  

21 - ETSU PRIDE Dino Dig at the ETSU & General Shale Natural History Museum
Bring the kids to the Natural History Museum to view the exhibits and dig for ETSU PRIDE prizes. Event lasts through August 29.  For more information, contact the ETSU & General Shale Natural History Museum at 439-3659.

22 -  ETSU Annual "State of the University" address
 by ETSU President Dr. Brian Noland at the Martha Street Culp Auditorium in the D.P. Culp Center.

22 - ETSU PRIDE Tri-Cities Blue and Gold Day
All businesses are encouraged to have employees wear PRIDE T-shirts or other ETSU paraphernalia.

22 - ETSU New Student Convocation
3:30 p.m. in Brooks Gym. ETSU PRIDE booth at event.

22 - ETSU PRIDE Night at the Appalachian Fair
Come show your ETSU PRIDE at the Appalachian Fair. Wear ETSU paraphernalia and receive $1 off admission to the Fair. For more information contact ETSU National Alumni Association (423) 439-4218.

22 - ETSU PRIDE Sign Give Away
Come cheer on the ETSU Women’s Soccer Team and pick up a free ETSU PRIDE sign.

24 - Welcome Week Picnic – 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
behind Governor’s Hall. Free food, music prizes and intramurals.

27 - ETSU PRIDE Community Showcase -
in the Borchuck Plaza in front of Sherrod Library from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. sponsored by the ETSU Alumni Association and Johnson City/Jonesborough/Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

28 - ETSU PRIDE Night with the Elizabethton Twins
Admission is free with an ETSU ID or by wearing ETSU paraphernalia.

28 - ETSU PRIDE Night with the Johnson City Cardinals

29 - ETSU PRIDE Bluegrass on Broad Street
at 7:00 p.m. sponsored by the ETSU Alumni Association and TK’s Big Dogs in downtown Kingsport. A collaborative of downtown merchants keep their doors open late giving the effect of additional co-hosts for the summer series. ETSU PRIDE Bluegrass Band and other ETSU elements have been featured for this final event of the ETSU PRIDE season since 2004.
