SPRING ALUMNI WEEKEND
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
May 9 - 10, 2014
Friday, May 9th
8:30 a.m. Reunion Brunch – Millennium Centre (located directly across from campus). Brunch for Golden Fifties Club and Reunion Class of 1964 plus the newest induction into Golden Fifties Club. Class group photographs will be taken. Reserved parking will be at Centre parking garage.
10:30 a.m. Tour of Campus and Johnson City depart from Millennium Centre.
12:30 p.m. Snacks & Ice Cream Social for Golden Fifties Club and 1964 Reunion Class. Following the reception, the library staff will be available for tours of the Charles C. Sherrod Library. Golf carts will also be available to further tour the ETSU campus.
2:30 p.m. Gray Fossil Site and General Shale Natural History Museum Tours/ Free time. We will provide you with free passes for you to tour the Gray Fossil Site.
6:30 p.m. ETSU National Alumni Association Awards Banquet & Annual Meeting – Millennium Centre Ballroom. At this event, we recognize outstanding graduates and friends, inaugurate new alumni leaders, and honor our reunion classes. (Separate Registration Required)
Saturday, May 10th
8:00 a.m. Graduation Breakfast – Burgin E. Dossett Hall. Members of the Class of 1964 and their guests, and all Golden Fifties Club members are invited to breakfast to begin the morning’s activities. Members of the Class of 1964 and guests may park behind Burgin E. Dossett Hall near the Carillon.
9:15 a.m. Those participants and their guests will be transported to ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center (Mini-Dome) for Commencement dressed in golden caps and gowns provided by ETSU National Alumni Association.
10:00 a.m. Commencement – ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center (Mini-Dome). The Class of 1964 and Golden Fifties Club members will lead the new graduates in Spring Commencement. Following commencement, buses will return the class to their cars.
Accommodations: You will need to make hotel reservations on your own. Be sure to mention you are part of the ETSU alumni group when you call to obtain the special rate. Many hotels discontinue special rates two weeks prior to event date, and all fill up quickly, so please make your reservations early.
